Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm Plus on-call rotation.

**This rotation occurs every two weeks, starting on Monday at 6:45am and ending the following Monday at 6:45am

The Maintenance Supervisor, who reports to the Feed Mill Manager, is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations and ensuring the efficient functioning of all equipment and facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, preventative maintenance techniques, and supervisory skills to lead a team of skilled technicians.

YOUR ROLE

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repair and maintenance of equipment;

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency;

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs;

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs;

• Train and mentor maintenance staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for their roles;

• Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and support continuous operations;

• Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability when needed;

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment;

• Assist in budget preparation for maintenance activities and manage expenditures to remain within budget;

• Contributing to the safety and security of feed mill employees by actively participating in health and safety programs, safety committees and staff training to ensure adherence to company fire, safety and security policies and procedures;

• Participating in the FeedAssure program, following the program and sitting on the FeedAssure committee;

YOUR ASSETS

• High school diploma or equivalent;

• Industrial millwright License or mechanical trade certificate;

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a feed mill or similar environment;

• Dual trade ticket with Electrical license (Asset);

• Safety Training including first aid, fall arrest, and confined spaces (Asset);

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems;

• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and techniques;

• Excellent leadership and team management skills;

• Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues;

• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools;

• Effective communication and organizational skills;

• Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards;

• Must be comfortable with exposure to machinery, dust, and noise;

• Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces;

• Be physically able to lift and move heavy equipment;
