Event & Marketing Coordinator

This exciting and unique opportunity is to work within the Business Solutions and Network division of Sollio Agriculture, supporting The Agromart Group. The Agromart Group is comprised of 23 franchised joint-venture retail locations across Ontario and the Maritimes, specializing in agricultural crop input products. As the industry leader in Eastern Canada, the group continues to see strong growth. The Event & Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting brand presence, communications, and event coordination across the network.
Reporting to the General Manager – this position would:
· Planning and full coordination for Agricultural Industry Trade Shows and Agromart Network events such as; Agromart Partners Winter Meeting, Agromart Partners Summer Meeting, various Farm Shows in Ontario, various department training sessions, Growing Innovations Conference, Golf tournaments, and other events as they arise;
· Act as communications liaison with Sollio Agriculture Communications Department;
· Support the development and ongoing updates of individual Agromart Joint-Venture websites, partnering with third-party vendors as needed;
· Oversee individual Agromart Joint-Venture social media strategies and assist local champions with consistent messaging of newsworthy occurrences;
· Develop individual marketing plans on an as needed basis for The Agromart Joint-Venture retailers;
· Support annual sponsored events (Certified Crop Advisor Association, Ontario Agricultural Conference);
· Oversee sourcing of product merchandise and marketing materials;
· Manage the application and selection process for the annual Bob Hutton.
YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE
· Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field;
· 3 or more years of experience in event coordination, marketing, or related fields;
· Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and social media strategy;
· Proficiency with platforms such as WordPress, Canva, Survey Monkey, and Google Business Profile is an asset;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
· Valid G class driver’s license with the ability to travel as required (meetings, conferences, tradeshows);
· Experience in agriculture or a rural business environment is an asset (optional based on industry relevance).
